Hunger 101 is an education program offering information on food banking, hunger, poverty and hunger relief efforts to children, youth and adults. The objective of Hunger 101 is to educate the public about hunger and poverty while building awareness about hunger relief efforts and pursuing ideas that involve participants in solving the problems of hunger and poverty.
Corporate, faith based, youth and other organization groups are welcome to attend. Classes vary in scope, size and length and are tailored to each group. Second Harvest encourages volunteerism as a component of the Hunger 101 experience and invites all participants to volunteer for Second Harvest before or after the class.
