About U-Pack
It’s sometimes difficult to believe that childhood hunger exists in the United States, but the reality is that every year 12 million American children wonder or worry about where they’ll get their next meal. That’s 12 million too many – especially when you consider that poor nutrition among children can lead to reductions in physical growth and affect brain development.
To help create awareness for local programs that help feed children and their families, the America’s Second Harvest Network has teamed up with ABF U-Pack Moving® to coordinate the U-Pack A BackPack initiative – a national effort to increase donations through a virtual food drive.
ABF will be bringing 2 ReloCubes (moveable storage units) to Second Harvest on January 16th at 10:30am for a photo shoot and media story. Once the photo shoot is over the ReloCubes will be delivered, one to each site, to the West Town Mall and Knoxville Center Mall for a 30 day stay.
